You Can Actually Watch 'Tenet' on a Gameboy Advance

Probably not how Christopher Nolan wanted you to watch his film.

Despite Christopher Nolan adamantly stating that Tenet “is a film whose image and sound really needs to be enjoyed in your theaters on the big screen” in response to word of streaming release, a YouTuber has now made it possible to watch the science fiction action-thriller on a Nintendo GameBoy.

Bob Wulff of WulffDen somehow fit the 150-minute film into five cartridges with custom labels for his GameBoy Advance SP. Wulff notes, “30 minutes is the maximum time you can have for a Game Boy Advance Video [cartridge] and still have it in somewhat of a watchable state.” Confirming that this is “quite possibly the worst way to view Tenet.” The “somewhat of a watchable state” comes in a resolution of 192×128 with a 8 KB/s bitrate at six frames per second and sped up by 33 percent.
