Samsung Unveils Pricing for New 4K and 8K Neo QLED Displays

Featuring mini-LED technology for extra-fine picture quality.

Samsung has unveiled pricing for some of its newest 4K and 8K TVs. As part of the tech company’s Neo QLED line, Samsung has offered prices starting from $3,500 USD.

The new TVs come with the latest mini-LED technology, packing thousands of tiny LEDs in the screen to significantly improve backlight and brightness. Both the 4K and 8K models start at relatively large dimensions: 4K ranges from 55 – 85 inches, while the 8K ranges from 65 – 85 inches. Among the company’s Neo QLED 8K lineup, the QN900A series models are among the best performing. They come with Quantum Matrix Technology, which equips the aforementioned mini-LEDs with a dimming system to give off a more balanced picture quality; a Neo Quantum Processor, which improves image resolution through AI optimization; and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Furthermore, Samsung notes the TVs can configure 3D audio on its own by reading its positioning and getting feedback on room acoustics. Other features like HDR10+ support and 8K AI upscaling round off the series’ capabilities. Those who don’t need such high-performing TVs can opt for displays in the more humble QN800A series.

Samsung’s 4K and 8K Neo QLED TVs are expected to launch on March 20 on the company’s website. The QN800A series will range from $3,500 – $6,500 USD, while the QN900A lineup will range from $5,000 – $9,000 USD.
