After serving as the Editorial Supervisor for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto is set to take over writing for the spin-off sequel starting Chapter 52.
Originally announced on the official Naruto/Boruto Twitter account, Kishimoto first chapter for Boruto will be included in the December issue of V Jump going on sale November 21. The tweet goes on to thank Ukyo Kodachi who has written the series since its beginning with illustration help from Mikio Ikemoto. Apparently, the decision for Kishimoto to take on writing Boruto was planned from the start and that the serialized manga will follow Kishimoto’s original drafts.
Following the end of the serialization of the Naruto manga back in 2014, Kishimoto created the Boruto spin-off animated movie which would establish character designs and lay the base for the follow-up story.
