The creator of ‘Samurai Jack’ is back with a new animated series
Genndy Tartakovsky and Adult Swim are back with another original new animated series. Tartakovsky, famous for creating series like Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Star Wars: Clone Wars, was reportedly working on a new series alongside the Cartoon Network nighttime programming block earlier this May and has now revealed the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series entitled Primal.
The new half-hour series from the famed creator is set at the dawn of humankind, relaying the story of a caveman’s unlikely relationship with a dinosaur. While that initial description might paint a kids-like portrayal, the first teaser reveals that it’s not in any way a kid’s program. Filled with all the guts and gore one would expect from the famed creator, the new teaser reveals a survival-based tale set in a “violent, primordial world.” Fans can look forward to an animation style filled with visceral imagery, paired alongside the Samurai Jack creator’s signature well-articulated storytelling.
