CD Projekt Red is Facing a Class-Action Lawsuit Over Botched 'Cyberpunk 2077' Launch

The company’s founders already lost $1 billion USD.

After its founders lost a staggering $1 billion USD from plummeting stock prices, CD Projekt Red is now facing yet another challenge as a result of its botched Cyberpunk 2077 launch: a class-action lawsuit from investors.

The new filing is the second in a series of potential lawsuits against the video game developer raised by investors of the company which allege that CD Projekt Red had misled them through the release of Cyberpunk 2077 and consequentially led them to incur significant damages, violating federal laws. Shareholders are now inviting more people to join the lawsuit, which was filed earlier last week at the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The company itself hasn’t made any official comment on the new legal proceedings except from stating that “The Company will undertake vigorous action to defend itself against any such claims.” Meanwhile, the developer is also working hard to update the game to a more playable state across all platforms and get it re-listed on the PlayStation Store.
