Lamborghini Centenario Xbox One S
To celebrate the release of open world racer Forza Horizon 3, Microsoft reveals a competition to win a one-of-a-kind Xbox One S modelled after the $2 million Lamborghini Centenario.
Xbox owners are no strangers to interesting and unique builds to the console line. After all, it’s hard to forget such examples as the phenomenal Iron Man-themed Xbox One. However, Australian racing game fans have just been given the chance to win a rather special version of the Xbox One, with a Lamborghini Centenario-themed Xbox One S up for grabs to celebrate the release of Forza Horizon 3.
It’s clear to see that this Xbox One S is a thing of beauty, and Microsoft certainly agrees. “Much like the $2 million dollar car that inspired its looks and also features on the cover of Forza Horizon 3, the first and only Lamborghini Centenario Xbox One S is reminiscent of the Italian manufacturer’s striking design and state-of-the-art engineering,” Microsoft said. “With its gunmetal body, matching wireless controller and signature metal trimmings, the console truly is as sleek as it sounds!”
Of course, getting hold of this console is harder than many fans of Forza would perhaps want. To enter, interested parties need to purchase a copy of Forza Horizon 3 between the dates of September 27 and October 2, 2016, either online or over at Microsoft’s flagship store at Sydney’s Pitt Street mall. Those who pre-ordered the game can also enter, by sending proof of purchase in a message to the Microsoft Store Sydney Facebook page.
Plenty of Australian gamers will no doubt be up for trying to get their hands on the one of a kind console. Meanwhile, those who fancy giving it a look in real life can do so by heading over to the Pitt Street location. Although those in North America and Europe would no doubt love to be in with a chance of owning the console, unfortunately this seems to be an Australia-only competition – at least for now.
Many Forza fans have been patiently awaiting the release of Forza Horizon 3. The title’s gameplay demos have certainly been positive, showcasing multiplayer gameplay and impressive visuals. What’s more, Halo fans have also had a treat in store, with the inclusion of the Halo 5 Warthog.
Whether or not Forza Horizon 3 will prove to be as big a success as its predecessors remains to be seen, but Playground Games will no doubt be feeling fairly confident. Early reports are positive, but those are still some big shoes to fill, with Forza Horizon 2 setting a solid precedent for over the top, open world fun. Those gamers picking up the title will surely be hoping to find just as thrilling and fulfilling experience this time around.
Forza Horizon 3 is out now for Xbox One and PC.
