NINTENDO NX: DETACHABLE CONTROLLERS WILL REPORTEDLY FEATURE MOTION SENSING, ADVANCED VIBRATION
According to a report from LetsPlayVideoGames (via Eurogamer), the controllers, which are said to clip on either side of the device, will include motion sensors similar to what is featured in the Wii Remote Plus.
Additionally, the controllers are rumored to feature some form of "advanced vibration force feedback." One source likened the vibration to what is found in the Vive controller, which "alters intensity, pulsing patterns and duration of vibration to mimic the sensation of a range of different movement types." As such, the sensation from hitting a tennis ball would feel different from striking an object with a sword.
The rumor claims that Nintendo is planning to phase out the Wii Remote over time with this new detachable controller, though players with Wii Remotes will still be able to use their older controllers for select multiplayer games. Just Dance 2017 will reportedly release alongside NX on launch day and support the new detachable controllers as well as Wii Remotes.
